Look what I'm putting in...
 

On January 5th, I'm getting a Kenwood cd/mp3 player deck, and the stereo place assures me that nothing will go wrong (i.e. speakers burning out, etc.) if they hook the headunit (3 outputs) to the stock Bose speakers. All that they said, was that at low volume, there might be some "engine noise" from the amplifier, and the volume intervals may be "bigger". Any thoughts?

I haven't run a cd in such a long time, can't wait for this!

If done right, there shouldnt be any noise. I used my stock Bose speakers (not anymore) with an aftermarket headunit for years without a problem.

I did the same on my old I30t. Hooked up a Kenwood to the Bose speakers with no problems.
