Finally finished my (small) setup

Im running the stock speakers (extra tweets in the rear) and amps with an Alpine 9830 backed up with and Orion DVC 10" and an old school Kenwood 2 channel amp. I also added some lighting to spruce things up. About the only thing I had to buy was the HU, the rest was basically free or traded. Not bad over all. Its not really loud or bassy but it gets the job done. Im not out to win anything but I am happy with the way it turned out. I painted both the amp and box it match my car. My biggest hurdle with the system was mounting the box. Its bolted to the RSTB. I just hope I never have to remove my rear suspension, since now I have to remove the seat and what not.

and with the lights on

Nice and clean. I like it. I have always been a fan of the XTR subs as well.

Probably, I mean having the HU put out x amount of watts then dropping it down with a converter to y amount of watts then amping that back up with the bose to z amount of watts never sounded good on paper. Its not the cleanest.
But they sound great with a either the 120 or 160 hz crossover on them. I do have a pair of sony 6 1/2s but im leary of paring them with the oems. If I had 2 more I probably would swap them out. When I had just the stock 6 speakers it sucked. Adding the tweeters to the rear helped balance everything out. The HU has great a crossover/eq so tailoring the sound is easy. Its light years over the stock Bose.

i dont like sony either but i got them for free and they have been collecting dust for a year or two. like a said most of this stuff was given to me. other wise id still have the stock setup with the just the HU. i used to be into stereo stuff years ago and worker on many freinds cars. its just reciently i decided to build a system.
i think id rather have a ported box over new speakers. this box is just to small for the sub.

That XTR will love the extra breathing room as well. Should be pretty easy to find specs too.
