So when are the 2007 model year HUs being released?

Got the bug, want to upgrade my HU. I am sticking with an Alpine :rotz: for the meere fact that I don't want to have to run an entirely new wiring and Sirius setup.

I am still appaled that they are using ugly-a'ss shades of red/orange/green/PURPLE for the LED button displays. Changing the LEDs in the faceplate is simply not an option as they are tinier than any LED mortal hands could manage, not to mention the fact that if one were to tackle this gargantuan task the blue LEDs are like $1.80 a friggin pop...at 60 LEDs, NOT HAPPENIN'.

That being said, I can only hope Alpine will come to their senses and rectify this problem in the coming year, although I'm NOT holding my breath.

SO, anyone know when they are coming out?

get the iva-w200 then, dan.

it kinda has a blue-ish glow to it

oh wait, then you'd have to re-do your dash again, huh? i guess you screwed the pooch :shiner:

Metal Maxima 09-06-2006 04:52 PM

I hate that pooch. :squintdan

mendon99 09-06-2006 04:54 PM

O/T: dammit. ever poke through both sides of a capri sun?

YES, FTL. You need to squeeze from the bottom so the top portion retains a generous portion of the sugar-laden fruit juice placebo thereby exposing the preforated hole with ample distance from the opposing side.

 :shiner:

anyways, my guess would be CES as well. i know some people who went to last years, and the '06 line up was there, got to play with some stuff and such.

but they probably wont just be released until January '07, right? ive never really paid attention to when new stuff is released.

TheBigDu 09-09-2006 06:18 AM

I think both Alpine and Eclipse release the new stuff around February and March.

Metal Maxima 09-09-2006 08:03 AM

ARRRGGGHHH.

I would love a Jap unit but no Sirius FTL.

mendon99 09-09-2006 08:26 AM

Some release a few tasty treats prior, otherwise CES is just show&go pieces, release dates are typically a few weeks after. WHy dont you go this year?

mendon99 09-09-2006 01:36 PM

ha, well id like to, but seeing how its in las vegas, chances are pretty slim.

is that where it is every year?

Pearl96Max 09-09-2006 03:11 PM
