problems with feedback

hey hows it going,
well yesterday i got a 4 channel amp installed and tweeters into my max... i have a amp already in the trunk for my box in the back. Well after the job was finished.. there was loud distortion, feedback and a popping noise coming from the speakers... also while driving & accelerate the feedback grows louder... The people who installed my system say it is the head units problem.. I have a pioneer and they said i need a head unit with "front/rear sub out".
Today i bought a rca ground loop isolator and it cut off the distortion from both amps... but it left me with no bass in the back... my question is that if my problem could be cheap rca's? or maybe the rca's are to close to the power wire.. and are causing a magnetic field..i feel as if im getting cheated by these guys.... thanks in advance for your feedback =]

Wow, the jargon you are using is so incorrect it's ridiculous.

The "feedback" you are experiencing is alternator whine, which can be caused by numerous factors. Cheap RCA's definitely could be the source, along with shoddy wiring, bad grounds (paint not grinded off the ground spot) and so much more. If a shop installed it, I would take it back because if it is very bad, that is unacceptable.

Just another reason to use a reputable shop....

thanks for the input..
they keep on talking about this front/rear sub out head unit...
what is this all about?

mendon99 10-22-2006 03:37 PM

the amount and type of preouts you have will make no difference. tell your friends to blow it out their @ss.

check your grounds. if thats clean and secure, switch RCA's. if that doesnt help, try a different amp. my guess is that its the amp.... what HU do you have though?

I know of (or have seen) 1 certain model pioneer to have really bad whine with a highs amp setup...

djfrestyl 10-22-2006 03:39 PM

What kind of HU is it? Model #?

Louie Max 10-22-2006 03:49 PM

its a dehp4700mp ...
the funny thing is when i put the rca ground loop isolator... the noise in the interior amp almost dissapears..

djfrestyl 10-22-2006 03:51 PM

What kind of RCAs did you use?

Louie Max 10-22-2006 03:53 PM

hopefully that solves my problem...
i just feel ripped off =[

djfrestyl 10-22-2006 06:34 PM

Well instead of lubing yourself up and welcoming them ripping you off, you could go back and demand them to fix it? Unless they're RCA's that you supplied, in which case you're up the creek. Sorry :(

Louie Max 10-22-2006 06:50 PM

well I did.... and they keep on telling me the story about the deck being the problem..i will go back tomorrow with the information you's have given me..

djfrestyl 10-22-2006 06:55 PM

That's just their way of not doing more work...free work.
