Installed Alpine SPS -17C2's in front '98

With an "old" Alpine HU CDA-9805. I bought a pair of Alpine SPS-17C2 6 1/2s http://www.crutchfield.com/S-xK6yqA8...o&i=500SPS17C2
Don't have the other $125 dollars for the rear set, but when I do I'll buy another pair. Overall, especially with the grounding kit for more power, these speakers are very loud and have a decent bass response. Definitely better than stock and don't distort at a lower volume like the stock ones do.

Good to hear you're happy with them, but if you want the same pair for the rears you can buy them for almost 50% off Crutchfield's price elsewhere.

yeah, but not authorized: no warranty.

he could have went to any authorized store and got them for $99, and saved the shipping, however.

swatspyder, you should put those in the rear, and get components in front.. because if you think it sounds good now, you don't know what you're missing.
