microvison Q's
Im wondering How can I hook the microvison screen up to where when I cut the car on it comes on altmaticley? It has three wires one red one black and one orange!

red is positive (to battery)
black is ground orange i believe is to ACC for memory of settings I installed a switch in one of the rocker panels on the right side of my steering wheel. (one is a dimmer switch the other is a dummy panel). basically i hooked it up so that i can turn the screen off when I want, but mine boots up automatically whenever i turn the key. Since I never need the screen to remember my settings, I don't use the orange wire. My power lead is connected to my clock (always on as long as key is turned) and my ground is inside the firewall to the chassis somewhere. it's easier to see when the dash is apart than to read on a computer screen. hope this helped a little.....or confused you more....either or, my job here is done! :) |

Try just hooking up the power wire without the ground. Usually that works if the monitor is a signal sensiing unit. I have not installed a Microvision TFT but I've hooked up plenty that way and it works, you don't the remote to turn it on. Let me know how it works out.

Did it work?

i believe the orange wire is the switch. wire it with the red one if you want the screen to come on with the car.

The Red is the power, black ground and orange illumination. T-tap(or just wire together) the orange and red. Then take it and T-tap off of the red on the HU and it will turn on as the car does. I have mine set that way for now, I hate it. I hardly ever use the screen, so it is just killing the life of it for me now. But if that is the way you want it, that is how you do it. Good luck.
