power wire question

I just got finished running my power wire (4ga) and I ran it along the large split loom above the fender liner and through the large firewall grommet. Once inside the wire is near the all of the car's electrical wires. This my be a stupid question but will the power wire cause any interference with the car's electrical system where it is? I don't think there is any other place to run it.

For all of you who run 4ga or bigger, how do you make it fit under the side sills? Mine is barely under there and I haven't even started running the speaker wire.

The car is an '02 Maxima. Sorry for such a noobish question, this is my first time doing this and I want to make sure it's right.

Thanks.

It's behind the fender liner. There are two ways to access it from under the hood; one is a small hole on the driver side right in front of the firewall inside the engine bay, the other is a white plastic opening right next to the battery that has the large split loom full of wires running through it. You will have to remove the fender liner no matter what to get to the grommet. It would be easiest to have the wheel off when doing this but I just jacked the car up a bit to give me more room.

I used this guy's instructions as a guide. Very helpful.

The picture in step 4 is a the large rubber grommet that is on the inside fender on the driver's side. The wires for this come out right above the driver's side kick panel. If you remove the fender liner you can't miss it.

I didn't use the opening in step 3. I used the opening right next to the battery. A large piece of black conduit runs into this opening, just follow it. I'm at work right now but I can take some pictures when I get home.
