all 4th gens!

for those with sub enclosures in your trunk, what are the dimensions? and did it fit into the trunk opening?

i was thinking 36"W x 14"H x 18"D but i dont know how to accurately measure the max depth and height to fit it into the trunk opening.

The biggest I fit with the torsion bars in place was 36 wide, 14 high, and 26 deep, fairly easy to get in and out (other than the whole weight thing). If you remove the torsion bars and install shocks im sure you can go 15 high and probably 16...

IIRC I had a bout an inch between the top of the box and the torsion bars, though I did have a piece of wood under it so that raised it a bit, you should be fine with 15, and yes I fit 26 deep...

Single 15, dont point up BTW, loose a good amount of sound and you get a **** load of rattles...

Fiberglass ftw!!! My enclosure is for 2 12z and it is on the driver side of the car and is a vented box. You might notice that the max gets slower once you put all that wood weight back there, so I went with fiberglass.

that's nice. do you have a picture of it carpeted or anything? or did you just leave it like that? only problem i have with fiberglassing is that im having my enclosure made for me then shipped to me.

The box I had weighed in at about 100 pounds, plus 50 pounds of subwoofer, sucker was heavy...On stock suspension it lowered my car about an inch

Right now I just left it like that. It's been that way for almost 2 years since I don't do shows anymore. Havent really messed with it cause I would have alot of sanding if I decide to paint it. I might just carpet it tho.

For a standard box I would just measure the width between the trunk hinges, and the clearance from the truck floor to those trunk bars or whatever you call them. If i remember correctly I think it was around 32" or 34" wide for the last standard box I made.
