AscendantMax 04-10-2012 01:45 PM

Sorry, can't send you any monies, I ran out of stamps...:hide:

...and what home gear do you have...? :banghead:

Pearl96Max 04-10-2012 01:49 PM

Paypal my friend !! No stamps needed !

Receivers, speakers, pre-pros, subs, etc .. :)

AscendantMax 04-10-2012 01:50 PM

Redoing your HT setup or something?

I just spend a pretty penny on some photography gear. :slant:

Pearl96Max 04-10-2012 02:00 PM

Nah, just some odds and ends laying around. MY HT gear is out of your budget ! ;)

Unless, ya know, you want some McIntosh, Krell, VAC, etc gear ..

filtor1 04-10-2012 04:53 PM

Soon you shall see what my HT has in store. :) I will end up with some serious low end. 2-dual opposed SP4 18"s on 2 EP4000's.

And Gordon, you know you want a 15" Havoc. If only I could have fit two in my car I would have.

Pearl96Max 04-10-2012 04:54 PM

Bleh.

LOL, I will never spend Dyn $, so I might as well get as much clean output as I can within my price range.

Pearl96Max 04-10-2012 07:03 PM

Dyn for HT, can be had for not very expensive my friend !

I think 2 18's is a bit more than "clean output."

If it shakes your underwear, it's too much.

I'll be starting a new hobby soon which I think will certainly take up a lot of my time/modding moneys!

djfrestyl 04-11-2012 04:59 AM

^^ What hobby is that?

I guess I should have qualified that with, to get the output and sensitivity I want, I would need a second mortgage.

I already have built 4 JBL8330's for surrounds. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1324539 I have less than $55 in all four.

The mains I want, http://www.pispeakers.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id/108 , Wayne's 4pi's will be the money section. These are going to take me a while. I have some other option, but nothing can get me close to these for the $.

The subs will be the cheap part.

It will be 4 18"s. 2 dual opposed cabs to eliminate cabinet rock and ruin drywall. :P

I've been on them in India and stuff like that, never rode one before but a couple of my good friends had got them last year, my wife was so excited SO, I will get to fulfill one more thing off the bucket list with this. May not own it for long, but would come in handy on vacations potentially.

We had to postpone our wedding because my cousin was killed on a bike. I have been a little different since then and tend to stay away from bikes. My wife and I have agreed to not put ourselves in a position like that, so no bikes for us. Just be as safe as you can. Not preaching, just looking out.

Sorry to hear about that. If you don't mind could you explain how it happened? I totally understand if it's a sore subject. Feel free to PM me. I am going to take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation classes and I am an extremely defensive driver, plus I don't plan to ride it too too much. I will also not let my wife ride with me until I am 100% certain I can handle a passenger.

He just got engaged and accepted into an elite police training program. He was on his way home and had to lay the bike down. No one knows if there was another car or not. Maybe an animal in the road. He had been riding his entire life. Drove a squad bike for his dept. He grew up on bikes. I have been on one with him. Anyway, all we know is he was in his lane when he had to lay the bike down. He was wearing a helmet and all the protective gear as req by Pa law. For perspective it was still closed casket.

It isn't you you have to worry about, it is the other people and things on the road. I had a great friend in HS that was side swiped by someone and it clipped her leg off at the knee. It was destroyed and they were unable to save it. The experience changed her into a mean person.

There are so many variables on the road, it is impossible to plan for everything. There is so much less protection when riding as opposed to being surrounded by a cage. I know you will take every precaution you can. You have a good head on your shoulders.

nismos14 04-12-2012 04:10 AM

That's sad, thank you for sharing. I agree that you can account for everything except for other drivers and that will always leave a high level of risk.

filtor1 04-12-2012 06:04 AM

No problem. He was exactly 5yrs older than me. To the day. :) His parents both still ride and never miss bike week in Daytona.

Still has.

No way we can live up here and get by on only a motorcycle. Gotta have both.

djfrestyl 05-07-2012 08:47 AM

Seasonal climate. Has its pros and cons.

filtor1 05-07-2012 03:50 PM
