Okay, I know there are several of you who have taken out the center console in the 4th gen. What's holding down the rear end? How do I get it out? Thanks in advance.

Assuming you mean the section that has the arm rest, the way to remove it is to 'snap' out you plastic piece surrounding the trans shifter. There are two screws that should be very visible. Then you go to the back of the armrest's console on the bottom sides (you may want to slide your seats all the way forward to access the screws better) and unfasten these screws. Unsnap the parking brake boot and lift the console up from the rear and slide it towards the front of the car. It should come off easy. Good luck.

I've already got the thing completely apart aside from the two rear screws. They seemed to be "invisible" when I looked a day or two ago. I didn't have time to slide the seats forward but figured it would be necessary. Thanks

Once you slide the seats forward you will see the screws. Make sure you put some kind of soft tape on the front edge of the console where it meets the dash. This helps out with squeaks/rattles.

Thanks! Maybe I'll have a minute tomorrow morning.
