G35 - Keep Bose HU, add amp/sub
hey guys,
a co-worker is trying to figure out how to add an aftermarket amp and sub to his 2003 g35 with bose and nav. he was getting mixed answers on g35driver.com and they were encouraging him to use JL audio so i said I would post here for clarification since Don and others have installed on a g before.

Line Output Converter (LOC). This device simply has speaker wires coming out one side and RCA jacks on the other. After splicing into the appropriate input wires coming from the stock HU, you will be able to connect the RCA jacks on the LOC to the RCA input jacks on your amp using a standard RCA interconnect cable.
NOTE: If your amp does NOT accept differential-balanced input signals on its input jacks, you MUST get a LOC that is capable of converting the differential-balanced signals in the G35 to the standard single-ended signals the aftermarket amp is expecting on its input jacks. Soundgate makes an amp that does this.**
so his questions are:
A) is this true?
B) if so, most amps don't say if it accepts differential-balanced signals, how do I know?
C) Which LOC's are the best for this application? PAC?
i've never heard the term 'differential-balanced input signals' before.
