The components to my system include.

Head Unit
Pioneer Premier 880 PRS
Front Stage
LPG 25NFA 1" Tweets Powered by a Kicker 100.2 with Seas Prestige CA18RNX 7" Mids Powered by two channels of a Kicker 850.4
Substage
2 Sundown 10" SD-1's powered by the other two channels of the Kicker 850.4 bridged to 4 ohms
Deadening
2 Rolls Raamat BXT and 6 Yards of Ensolite which will be focused on the front doors and the trunk

Day 1
After a bunch of planning buying talking and BS'ing about the system we finally got it started by deadning the trunk.

First we stripped to the bare bones

The Stock Setup
https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f...l/DSC01309.jpg
Got Everything thing tore down. Had a problem with getting the hazard light switch unplugged so we just put the whole piece on the top of the dash and left it connected

Random Pic...

travmaximas1998 01-31-2008 08:24 PM

https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f...l/DSC01314.jpg
Had to custom fit a piece in the gap between the bottom of the unit and the pocket. The Scoshe kit provided a new pocket that only made it look worse
https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f...l/DSC01315.jpg
Remains of the piece that we hacked
https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f...l/DSC01316.jpg
Added a hole in the back of a pocket to run the Ipod connector into a sweet little spot.
https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f...l/DSC01317.jpg
Completed! Sorry about the quality of some of the pics, my digicam can be very finicky
New headunit is very nice and actually a lot more graphical then I expected. Under a quick listen the stock speakers sound a wee bit cleaner. I will be spending the entire night reading the owners manual lol. This is definitely a very involved headunit, but extremely nice

travmaximas1998 01-31-2008 08:25 PM

Lots of work done...

BLACKonBLACK98 02-03-2008 05:27 PM

i here they do quite well. just will have to see. im tuning my box to 28hz. i will definately give yal some feedback.

the sundown Icons are some excellent subs if u are looking for some more powerful ones. i will probably wont upgrade my subs for some time depending on how good those work. also got some more work today on the box would of got some more done but a lil thing called the superbowl got in the way.

Great build so far. I too live in Baytown and have a white 4th Gen. ('96). If you might be interested in doing some install work on mine to earn some extra cash, shoot me a PM.

djfrestyl 02-11-2008 08:01 PM

VERY nice job. Well documented, well done.

I'm thoroughly impressed with your craftsmanship and attention to detail.

kpr10is 02-11-2008 08:25 PM

Agreed, corner pieces for port noise and everything. +1 to whoever commented on having a nice shop too.

travmaximas1998 02-11-2008 08:59 PM

i wish the shop was mine but its a good friend of mine and he pays attention to details to a 32nd of an inch. the box is very percise but if i build another one it will be done different. just got to get the carpet on it and the rest of the wiring done hopefully can get it all done this weekend. crosses fingers

and thanks for yalls input

Fast1one 02-12-2008 12:39 AM

Should have put the subs and port on the same plane....

WhiteA32 02-15-2008 10:39 AM

In the picture where you show the right chamber what is that blue thing sticking out of the side on the left

djfrestyl 02-15-2008 10:46 AM

Looks like a small length of speaker wire.

travmaximas1998 02-15-2008 02:49 PM

ya it is the speaker wire that im goin to run through the box so i can wire the subs to 4ohms cuz they are 8ohm drivers. the wire is just there to see what size hole i would have to have. should be done this weekend and dont have to work tomorrow :)

nismos14 02-15-2008 03:18 PM

Also maybe round off those squared port edges, but that shouldn't make too much difference. Helluva nice job.

travmaximas1998 02-15-2008 06:46 PM

ya i should of done that before i installed them but if i hear any noise im probably goin to scrap the box and make another one cuz with what i designed i thought i could still get to my spare but thats a negative. so if i redisgn it i got to shirnk some things.

AscendantMax 02-15-2008 06:51 PM

nice box dude. you should come out to the SQL meet me and my buddy are holding. basically it's a friendly contest. we each get score sheets and go around listening to all those who enter. and then we tally up the points in the end. :)

travmaximas1998 02-15-2008 10:37 PM

when is this?

Fast1one 02-16-2008 03:46 PM

Those mids are 3.2 ish inches deep correct? how much clearence do you think you have from the back of the magnet to the window when its rolled down? I ask because I am going to try to squeeze something that is 3.5 inches deep :D

travmaximas1998 02-17-2008 03:39 PM

well my baffles are 2" inches think and with this the door panel doenst exactly fit back properly there is like an 1/8" gap i would say at the bottom of the door. if i recall they were like 3 & 1/8" deep im think 3.5 will be cuttin it pretty close. i cant recall how much space i had but i know it was enough sry. if i would guess i would say there was maybe a .25 to a .5 of an inch behind there maybe more.

1996blackmax 02-17-2008 05:12 PM

I have to agree with the guys here, nicely done :).

Crusher47 02-17-2008 05:23 PM

Awesome work dude!
