Yes its a good deal.Read the thread I started about my D3.You will love this HU.

BTW,I got mine from CL as well. The guy started at 600.00 came down to 500.00 but all I had was 450.00.I started to walk away and he decided to take the 450.00 I had.I feel I got an amazing deal.Even at 500-550.00 I would feel the same way.

A new one what?

From what I understand the new F series pretty much suck.I went to buy one from a store here in Socal called Al and EDs,they sell higher end car audio.Anyway, they have the F700 on sale for 579.00.I talked to the owner there and he said stay away.In the past 30 days he installed 6 of them,5 of them came back.Pioneer really dropped the ball on this new series.I suggest the D3 or if your budget allows go for the Z3.

well...just to give an update
I wound up goving with the AVIC N5 unit, which I got on a price match at my local audio shop. They had it, like best buy did for 1499.99. I went to best buy and asked if they would price match an online retailer, the manager said no. So I went to the local shop, and he honored the 1049.00 price. Its installed, still gotta go back to get the ipod and steering wheel controls set up, but im happy.
pics coming soon

I dont know if anyone else has the AVIC N5, if not heres the first review:

the pros - single cd/dvd inlet, and no harddrive. So the navi disc has to stay in to run navi. Sure, it has a "memory" for preloaded navigation routes, but if you decide while in route, you want to stop to go somewhere, and you are listening to a CD or watching a DVD. you gotta put the disc back in.

The fix - better make sure you run your music through an ipod. If you have that, then keep the navi disc in, or get the 12 cd changer add on, throw it in the trunk, and keep that disc slot strictly for navi.

Navi is great, touchscreen responsive. pioneer surprised with me with the screen and sound clarity.

the cons - if any the blocking of the controls. But its not that big deal. When I first get in the car I adjust the air or heat, then open up the screen. U can always close the screen if u really need to change it while driving.
all and all a good unit, worth it for the pricematch I got it at(1049.00). It retails for 1499.00, which I would say go for the Z3 if you are going that high.
