Low Power Problem, Needs Idea's...

- I have a 7" flip up and 2 12" and an amp. My subs cut out regularly on hard hitting base and all lights dimmed with each bass pound, got a compacitor and solved 85% of the cut out but not all and I want to fix this and its getting worse.
I was at a red light with it fairly loud and everything shutoff, screen shut like I turned it off and rpms dropped but kicked back on before it totally died. Im not sure if having a weak battery and not enough power output effects engine performance but that got me thinking my car probably is tired and im on a little kick of gaining horsepower and this is really holding my car back, this needs to be fixed the only thing im thinking is...

- Optima yellow top.
What else can I do, I dont know how batteries in the trunk work, I dont really know if buying ground wires are for this type of problem... Theres got to be somebody in here that has had this problem what can I do to solve this, Thanks guys

Yup you need to do some grounding.Alot of people say to use 1/0 but 4 ga. will work just fine.

yea 4ga is good and all depends on what amp and sub you are pushing. if the subs are not connected right the the warning light will come on ,try a die hard marine battery from sears cost around $230 and the cap u need a 5 Farad i dont know what u got but this is wat i am working with two 15''subs 1500 rms and 1500 rms amp and i have no problem here is a link for the capacitor good luck http://cgi.ebay.com/POWER-ACOUSTIK-P...3A1%7C294%3A50

I got this, but i need somthing other than more audio components i would like to have started out with somthing like yours and mine was 140 so ill probly go with a grounding kit then a battery if needed, its just that a different one isnt gonna solve my performance problem probly just the cut out wich would be nice but i know my car is slow because lack of power my rpm's dance with the bass when im at a red light as well as lights dimming and all thathttp://i.ebayimg.com/05/!BQdjj0QBmk~...p+Wpi!~~_1.JPG

Capacitors are a waste of money and a bandaid for a real problem.
