I've got an issue with an installer mixing Components, Co-axials, crossovers together
So far in my car audio investigation, I have:
Front - -Panasonic 15w 4 ohm paper mids NO crossovers -MB Quartz titianium 4 ohm tweeters w/12dB crossover thing. Rear- -Alpine Type R Co-Axial w/ crossovers (not sure on rating) 60w rms 160w peak Head unit is Alpine CDA-9847 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v8...es/1234141.jpg doesn't this just seem sloppy to anyone else? This is what I want to do(since one of my paper panasonic speakers is blown and I can barely hear the tweets) and hopefully I can achieve it...Can I throw my Alpine coaxials up front and get rid of the stock/cheap speakers altogether without any additional wiring config. or different crossovers? |
These are my speakers. They have an inline crossover.
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPR1...=detailed_info It is safe to just splice them into the front speaker wires without any modification or re-wire? |
The Alpines have a high pass only.....just like your current fronts. I wouldn't sweat it.
