Bose Amp Fuse? No Sound?
I am trying to reconnect my aftermarket HU to my Bose system, the HU powers up and all, but no sound of any kind?
I am using the METRA kit as well as the PAC, and both kits powers up the HU but no sound. I understand I have the blue wire for the amp power, but it seems like amp is not powering up. Do I need to wire something else for the amp to run? Like some of the RED/Yellow wires? Or only the blue wire is actually related to the Bose amp?
Is there a fuse somewhere for the amp? If not, how could I test it?
This is for a 5th Gen.
Thanks,
BB

A little background: I've had the aftermarket unit running with the Bose system and the METRA kit. I installed the system 3 or 4 years ago. Recently I purchased the PAC adapter (looking for better quality) and for some reason I did not get sound out of the system. I then gave up on the PAC and re-installed the METRA kit, but ironically I still have no sound our of the speakers.

I'm not familiar with the 5th Gen but it would be safe to assume that the fuse for the bose amp blew. It should be in the fuse panel under the dash. Though it may be labeled under something else like cigarette lighter or something else that comes on when the key is in the ACC position.

I've checked those fuses, and they were all good but since none of them were labeled as BOSE / AMP / RADIO or anything resembling that, I figure the Amp fuse could be located somewhere else?
Anyone had fuse problems with the Bose amp? Where would that be located?
And regarding the wiring, could someone confirm that the only thing needed to power up the Amp is the connection to the blue wire?
Thanks again!
