3 JL 10W3's and an 800 watt PPI amp or...
 

I know a couple of people selling systems and i'm trying to get a new one. One of the systems is 3 JL 10W3's and an 800 watt PPI amp for $800 and the other is 2 10 inch solobaric L7's and a 500 watt rockford amp for $400. Which is the better deal?

hmmmm, i'd have to go with the L7's here....

though the ppi amp is going to be a better amp than the rockford fosgate amp, but the price difference is ridiculous. i'd have to go with the L7 setup, with an extra 400 bones, you could go get a nice bigarse amp or a matching fosgate amp. but i'd go and get something like a jbl1200.1 and have some left over money and an extra fosgate amp. :D but that's only what i'd do.

Are the solobarics as good in sound quality as the JLs, say if they were powered by the same amp... which would sound better?

Why not just go with a custom made box that will fit the rear wheel wells perfectly? Get 2 JL's or ID's and a JL 250/1. Total cost should be around $550.

i'd say the L7's have good sound quality, and the quality is a lot better compared to the w3's in my opinion, but the w6's would have better sq.

again, this is my opinion, so no one get mad at me. :D

if you want good sound quality, good efficiency, and for a good price, get a shiva......
