March 07 Fastrack
Item 6 on page 42 of this identifies the Scott Russell linkage as specifically tied to the '06 Maxima as being a form of independent suspension.
I am under the impression that a S-R is a means of lateral location for a beam axle. Did Fastrack screw this up or does the '06 Max have some rather unusual suspension? Or am I all wet with this question? Norm |
I saw that too but haven't had a chance to figure out what's going on either.

http://www.nissanusa.com/img/vehicle...si21_multi.jpg certainly don't see a beam axle or scott-russel link anyplace...looks like a pretty standard multi-link IRS. I wonder if they meant to say '00 Maxima rather than '06 :gotme: If so, that's pretty lame to call our rear setup "IRS" |
