Rough deal with bgsl1ck

I posted a WTB ad in the audio section for an 02-03 non-Bose CD player. User bgsl1ck contacted me about his CD player that he removed from his 02'. We went back and forth and he took my offer. I again messaged him to make sure that this was an 02-03 model and he said it came out of his 02'. Looking back, that was the first warning...he would never tell me if it was the 02-03 model exactly..only that it came out of his 02.

Well, got the CD player today..it's the 2000 model non-bose cd changer. Even has the 2000 manufacture date stamped on the top.. Ugh.

I immediately message the seller, tell him this is not the 02-03 model..I then ask if he could cover half return shipping. I said I'd cover half because I didn't ask for pictures..I gave him the benefit of the doubt and it backfired. Whatever, I'd be willing to cover half of shipping if he could cover half. I see this as a 50/50 mistake. Well, he didn't go for that idea. He said he'd refund me once I ship it back on my dime and he matches up the serial number. Yea, I'm trying to scam you over a $65 CD player. Get real.

Am I being unreasonable here?

I shipped it back today. USPS tracking

http://trkcnfrm1.smi.usps.com/PTSInt...99937230443690

I thought that splitting shipping was a very reasonable solution but whatever. Will be waiting on the refund now.

I still, however, do not recommend anyone do business with this user.

Really first when we talked I told you the radio came out of my 2002 maxima and was working when I took it out. I shipped it 20 minutes or less after you sent the payment. When you received the radio you where unhappy so I agreed to give you a full refund upon receiving the radio back and even sent you my number for you to call me but you never did. I lowered the price and paid the shipping so I wasn't going to agree to pay shipping again sorry. Once I receive the radio you will get a full refund just like I told you when I first got your message. So why would you post this if I have made every effort to work with you on getting your money back. If need be I can post all of the pm's regarding this.

OP always ask for pics...period. This is the internet and unfortunately you can't give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Nothing against the seller here I'm just saying what's real.

You fail to understand the easiest of concepts..when I receive the refund, this transaction is officially over but as of right now, I don't have a refund; i have a check that has yet to clear. This transaction is not complete.

Don't file a claim. Wait to see if it clears. If not, file a claim.
