CustomMaxima's project Maxima.

I was asking a friend about the CustomMaxima "project maxima" today. He said that he heard the main guy that was building everything walked off the job! Looks like he came to his senses. LOL!!! Custommaxima = JOKE!! :grinno:

The thing is, I need to find him to do a complete revamp of my 2 week old 04 Max. Word is he's the man and I want to hook up with him. Anyone have a name, number, or email for that cat. Please!! The closest I got to finding out where his shop is was through a friend of a friend who had a 03' Q45 done up by him. Thanks.........

I look forward to being a member of the org as the new owner of my 04 Max! Any "must do" engine mods you recommend.

Time to hit the 6th Gen forum!!

i knew that project car wouldnt get finished...

i dont think its a good idea to diss the man/his business and then beg to see him for some custom work.... :) :wall:

trendsetter434 May 17, 2004 11:09 PM

Not disrespecting the man.

Hope it doesn't come across like that. If there was any disrespect shown, it was towards the Custommaxima jokers. I would never dis the hand that feeds me, meaning the guy who was doing all the work. From what I understand, he runs his own shop.

Wisky97SE May 17, 2004 11:21 PM

I never understood all this anger towards custommaxima. . . from what I hear they seem like good honest people who sell parts to us at a reasonable price. Just because they never showed us a project car or made 95/96 red-clears doesn't make them jerkoffs. Can someone tell me what exactly they did wrong?

i agree, in the past they have had some shipping issues, but from all the business ive done with them since they are almost as fast as tire rack.

people are just stuck on their past problems, they dont have all the resources of a large company, and we have little to complain about as we dont have the aftermarket support of chevy, ford or honda so we need to embrace and kindly guide those companies that will produce and sell good parts for us.

even if they overcharge, stillen and custommaxima in some cases.

What's the fun paying somebody to build your car?

jesse May 18, 2004 05:46 AM

i dont get the hate against custommax either, ive dealt with them on many occasions, and have never had a problem. im close by, so the hipping is great, and there customer support has always been good too.

maxspeed96CT May 18, 2004 05:50 AM

Ya cm has brought alot of good parts to the maxima comunity , and i thnakthem for my 3 pillar gauge pod and lots of other costom stuff they have made

you are just a hater

i have never seen any bad customer service from custom maxima. And they are not as expensive as other vendors like stillen and cattman...i guess custommaxima is put on a pedestal for making products and they are put down when something doesnt come out. I'm not mad at them though, they have always showed me top notch customer service.

It's not the service people hate at CC. It's a matter of them announcing their product a year or 5 before they actually release it. People think of them as a joke cause whatever they announce has a realease date that is pushed back at least a year or two. It's like they pull ideas out of their buttholes, announce them the next day, give them a release date a few months ahead and then start working on it a year later when everyone starts *****ing at them.

Capital15 May 18, 2004 08:05 AM

CM is all good with me.

trendsetter434 May 18, 2004 08:32 AM

You hit it right on the head Big D.

Before I bought my 04, I was in the market for a 5th gen, mainly because of the Razor body kit that was SUPPOSED to come out. I waited patiently and was told it was coming. Yeah, just like the "4 year project maxima" that is so outdated it doesn't even matter anymore. Be honest for gods sake. They even wanted to charge my Visa and I said no way! If I let them charge me early for "first come first serve" I would no doubt be stuck with Custommaxima "credit only". Not my money back.
They should keep their ideas in the dark until they actually have product.

That got Microsoft to where they are today.

ohannon7 May 18, 2004 08:55 AM

maseo77 May 18, 2004 09:58 AM

thanks to CM i got my triple gauge pod that no one else sells, even though the buttholes sent me the wrong color, and i had to spend an extra 8 bucks to color match and paint the friggin thing.

1MAX2NV May 18, 2004 01:19 PM

I need to rearrange my gauges. Triple gauge pod sounds like a solution.

Greg's project car I have to admit has taken longer than expected. But with any project car that you want to take your time with and do right you run into some problems. Greg is proud of his work and only wants to share with his fellow Maxima owners what he wants to do with his car. But instead of being appreciative of him showing support for the Maxima community, we get criticism because it has taken too long. I would like to thank those of you that have replied to this thread showing support for us and our future endeavors. Any future issues that you may have, contact me directly and I will happy to take care of you to the best of my ability.

1MAX2NV, if your in the market for a triple gauge pod give me a call directly and I can take care of you.

What is taking so long anyway?

[QUOTE=Custom_Maxima1]Greg's project car I have to admit has taken longer than expected.

Any pics? Also, who is the guy doing up the project car, can you point me in his direction? I'd like to have him rework my 04 interior. One of my friends was up there last year when it was being built and saw the center console. He said it was the wildest thing he'd ever seen! Supposedly it went from the dash to the floor and curved all the way to the roof. He also said that there were like 20 things motorized! Thats just what I want. I've got the $ to spend so if you could hook me up with him I'd greatly appreciate it.

The car I'm referring to is the 4th gen. It is owned by Greg and has been in the works for 4 years now. The 5th gen you are referring to is used to show their new 5th gen body kit.

The whole reason for my original post is to try and get in touch with the builder of the 4th gen project maxima because he da man and I need his services. His work is on a whole other level.

Does anyone know the guy that was building it? Tyler from CE can you help me? Anyone? Bueller, Bueller, Anyone?

trendsetter434 May 26, 2004 06:17 AM

Mission accomplished!

A guy at a local shop buys Diamond from him. He contacted him for me and I have been in touch by email. I have an appointment in August. Can't wait.:)
I'll post pics when it's done. Thanks for the responses.
