Carmax

Well my sales experiance there was great. Great car, nice price, easy financing and they let me test drive anything on the lot. BTW WRX STis are quick, but dreadfully uncomfortable. At least for my big ***. I was going to take one of the Porches out but the loop the sales man took me around went by the PD, and their yard.

Anyways I am rather satisfied with my purchase from them. Granted it was retail, but they really made things easy.

Service, so far **** poor. I took it in for three things, alignment, a tire and the Bose issue. Over three days they fixed the alignment tried to jack me on replacing one tire instead of two and never could get the tires in and the Bose still has the issue with the left channel cutting out. I may get it fixed myself and just charge them for it but I don't know. It goes back in on monday to have the tires done and the radio worked on again.

So, at this point Buy the car from them but don't get the warranty.

Bought mine from C'max also. Good value. Took advantage of their 30-day we'll fix everything policy after signing. Had 11 things I had fixed incl. alignment, balance, couple of cosmetic things. Overall about $400.00 worth and did not get charged. I'm pleased so far.

I got mine from Carmax, and...basically, got raped. Like, raped beyond what you could possibly imagine someone would pay for an A32 (4AT, at that).

But we did get the full car warranty, soon after I got it the trans went out. Fully covered, $50 deductible, would've cost $3k at the time (since I wasn't car-savvy then).

Carmax- good folk to deal with

I also have had a very good experience with the Dulles-VA Carmax. They were straightforward and honest. Several of my friends will only buy from them because of the way they are treated there versus the run around they get elsewhere.

i really need to sell my maxima - how close to book value would you expect carmax to offer on a 2000 GLE with trade in value of 5820? trying to decide if its worth the 1.5 hour drive.
