Dealership service improvements?

Just out of curiosity, has anybody noticed any improvement in customer service at their local Nissan dealer in the last few years? I have been going to several different dealers off and on for the past decade in the southwest Florida area and have had ok to pretty bad service up until the last two years. Recently I have noticed the quality of service dramatically improve lately, like working with the customer for out of warranty work (timing chain tensioners on my 07) and an overall atmosphere change to feel like a more upscale establishment. One in particular, Venice Nissan, was really terrible up until they fired their whole service department and brought in some new people. The new guys are pretty awesome to work with now. I think it may be those customer satisfaction surveys corporate sends out.

Anyways, I ask this because there is a general consensus that Nissan customer service sucks and I hope that they are genuinely trying to improve their image.

I've noticed the same in the past few years with my local dealership.

I know a few years ago they weren't doing the best but in the past few years (Nissan) as a whole has being in the green on there income so maybe that's why there not picky with warranty claims.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Motor_Company shows there currently doing really good.
