beware of exhaust pros in madison!!
can you say crooked? or how about rip off?
Here is the story.
I purchased a Nismo stainless cat-back exhaust for my 2001 Frontier. It is a simple Nissan made bolt on. Everything is included, all of the bolts, clamps, gaskets, and even the hangers are already welded in place. It is a nice cat-back. Why didn't I just do it? Rust. I hate working on rust. after the first bolt/nut broke off and the second one rounded off, I figured I would just call the nearest exhaust shop and see what they would charge. I figured that $100ish would be worth not getting rust in my eyes.
So I call them and they give me the "we can look at it that is all we can promise" statement
So I took my truck to their shop. They put it on the rack and start saying "it isn't an easy job" So I ask "what is so difficult?" I get "there are hangers and flanges.." I can see where this is going. I asked them to simply take my truck off the rack. When I left they said in a smart assed tone "good luck doing it yourself."
I talked to another shop and they said they will do it tomorrow for $55
