Best way I've found to clean windows.
I got tired of using any type of window cleaner for my windshield because no matter what I used there would still be a streaky film. Today I tried using just a clean dry cotton towel and pushed hard while I wiped the windows. They look cleaner now than they have in a long time. Just thought I'd share.

I heard that using newspaper to wipe was also good. No streaks at all from those who have tried it.

The streaks/haze you are referring to is a result of "outgassing." That means the materials that make up the interior let out a gas that leaves a haze/film on the window.
Removing this haze is a challenge but it can be done using a decent window cleaner (e.g. Stoners Invisible Glass) and the right medium (e.g. Newspaper, microfiber). |
I work at a dealership, and the glass cleaner we use works perfect. Ill see on monday if I can get the name.

I have always used The Wax Shop Super Glaze on all the windows except the outside of the windshield. Works great over tint also. When someone smudges it, just a quick wipe with a dry towel and you are back in business. Makes the ice slide off easy in the winter as well.
In fact, I use that wax to do all the windows and mirrors in the house. Windows look like they disappeared and mirrors don't fog up nearly as much. |
