Anyone use lubricant to prevent bugs during long trips?

Just wondering if anyone has ever sprayed anything on the front of their cars (bumper, hood, etc) to prevent bugs from sticking, baking into and ruining paint during long road trips. That's the worst when you've got a long 8-hour drive and you know bugs that you hit are just gonna stick there and dry out on your paint the whole way, just wondered if anyone's ever sprayed something on the front of their car before embarking to prevent this, Pam or WD40 or anything like that.

All you can do really is wax the car before you go and when you arrive at destination.Find yourself a car wash place/hose and rinse off the bugs etc. I'd be more scared off rock chips and such on long trips.

I've always wanted to saran wrap the front end of my car and see if that would work. Peel it off when you get where you are going. It would look ghetto as hell but it just might work!
