Meguiar's Scratch X
Has anyone ever used the Meguiar's Scratch X before? I have some small scratches and swirls I need to get rid of and bought this stuff today. Is it any good?
|
Try it with a good folded terry towel or a wax applicator. It's not that strong so it might be suitable for what you want. Depending on the depth of the scratches, it may not do much for those though.
I do find it relatively expensive for the size though. On the other hand, it smells nicer. :D |
Haha, well at least it smells good.
Thanks for the input. I have a lot of little surface scratches that aren't that bad but annoying on a black car. Hopefully this will help get rid of some. |
let me know how it works rich (have fun in aurba lucky bastard)

what you need to try is meguiars swirl remover, my bro has his own detailing business, that is why i know about this stuff.

By hand, swirl remover is probably just a big waste of time and sweat. You really need something with a little more bite to it to get anywhere, unless the swirls/scratches are very light and superficial. If you were to do this with a polisher though, that's a whole different story.

I left out the part about the buffer...sorry
|
On top of that, you are definitely going to need to follow that with another polish to minimize/eliminate any hazing from the Scratch-X.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll tell you how it goes when it gets a little warmer here.
By the way, Josh, Aruba was soo nice. I really realize how much Northeastern winters suck. |
