Mr. Clean's Auto-Dry wash system
 

Cheesy as it sounds, I bought the Mr. Clean auto-dry car washing system. (It was on sale at Auto-Zone for about $19.) It's a device that hooks to the end of your hose. It has a soap reservoir, then a filter for the final rinse. The product claims the final rinse filter removes all the minerals from the water so it dries quickly without wiping, and without water spots. The package came with one bottle of soap and one filter.

This product actually worked pretty well. My neighbor and I stood there and watched the final rinse quickly evaporate off of my car without spots.

The main drawback is that the filter claims it is only good for three (3!) applications. I also used almost half the soap with one wash. I don't know, yet, how much it will cost to buy another filter.

lol i hate it when it dries and theres places where i missed to clean, i try to use it wisely so i can get maybe more than 3 uses of the filter, so far i used it 2 times, i bought my mrclean off ebay, it came with 2 botttles of soap and 2 filters, if u want to buy more it costs like $5 for like a big bottle of the soap( bigger bottle than the one it came with) and i beleive $5 for the filter, if i remeber correctly

When this soap runs out, I'll probably go back to a normal bucket wash with my own soap, but will keep using the normal rinse spray setting and the filtered rinse finish.

Mr. Clean Auto Dry refills are pricey. Wal-mart sells the refills so you can check there. Cost me less that $5 for the big bottle of soap and I think that you can get a 2-pack of filter refills for arround ~$3.50. I have almost gone through the soap bottle that it came with and had only washed my car once. I thought I was being conservative in the soap spraying, guess not. However, it works wonders and is cheaper that going to a car wash. I'll be staying with it for the mean time.

I think I may get one and do the same thing...use it for the filtered water and not buy the soap.

man refills and such can add up pretty quickly...especially for those who washes their cars a lot. i'll stick to my bucket, california water blade, and cotton towels.

I'm changing my vote on this system. The soap and filter expired in the middle of the second wash, and I'm not going to buy any refills.

The filtered rinse comes out at a low speed and is so slow it takes almost as much time to re-rinse the car with the filter as it does to dry it. That bulky hose attachment gets to be a pain to carry.

I like the idea of a California blade, so will probably buy one of those to make drying faster.

screw that, i'm too scared to drag dirt particles along my finish with a big silicone blade. It's all about microfiber waffle weave towels. Trust me you'll never dry your car with anything else

when i run out of soap im gonna try to use a different kind, like the ones that have wax in it, any1 use a different kind of soap on their mrclean?

i used the meguiars suds wash in it, and it worked fine, you just dont get the dry sheet polymer that the mr. clean soap had.

guys, i dont know if im using my Mr. Clean Autodry correctly cause my results arent that good after i have cleaned my car.... okay first i just spray the car with regular water, then i spray it with the soap and use a rag to clean it and then i spray it off with with regular water again and then i use the filtered water but my windows never get clean, they have the water marks all over the car so then i just wax the car and then its gone

You can always just repaint your car after every wash.

I work at Target, I see how fast those things sell. I was thinking of buying one but my thought it's a fad since I don't want to ruin the finish of my car.

There won't be dirt particles on the blade if you wash it before you use it. I've been using the water blade for awhile, and it isn't damaging my finish.

the starter pack sucks, u only get 3 uses. but the refils are great, i have it and i just bought refils, used them for about 7 weeks and i need new ones today.

yea it is very price i bet the prices will comne down after awhile. i only use my mr.clean when i have not as much time. also does the soap bubble up for ya'll. mine never suds up.

the soap didnt stay very sudsy for long with mine either. i use the mr clean for the rinse and spot free features. for soap, i use the old bucket and mitt method. the mr clean soap left weird water marks on my car after it did its self drying or whatever. only paid 15 at autozone, so its alright
