sprucing up 2002 SE

Hi -I just bought a 2002 SE with lowish miles (107k), an accident free history, one owner, and no really significant wear inside. It does need a thorough scrub down though, and I'm wondering what products would work best. It doesn't have any glaring messes, no tears in the cloth, just a little bit of wear on the left side of the passenger seat cushion, as if the driver habitually grabbed that edge of the passenger seat while driving - wierd. What it does have is a layer of 12-yr grime - "patina" maybe? - that i'd like to cut through. In my kitchen, for marble countertops, i use a home made solution of water, isopropyl alcohol, and a couple drops of dish washing liquid. That cuts through kitchen grease pretty well, so I'm wondering if it would be good, and not harmful, to the hard surfaces in the Maxima. I don't want to damage the otherwise pretty unharmed trim parts, door pulls, armrests, etc. I'm thining maybe taking a toothbrush to the seams and crevices, after vacuuming out the crumbs from 12 yrs of McDonalds french fries and Krispy Kremes. Seats seem pretty clean, so I doubt I'll do much there. My search for a used car has revealed to me that cloth seats actually wear better in the long run than leather - which was a suprise.

Thanks for any recommendations - I'm not anal about car cleanliness, just want to get a decent clean baseline.
