Dyno'd the Max, whats going on har?!

Mods day of dyno session: 00VI, HAI(95blkmax's idea ), Ypipe, WS Racepipe, Stock Bpipe, Magnaflow Fart can, VAFCII tuned while on dyno. The car is an auto with 238k miles on the clock and "heavy 18" wheels". Tuning was done by 95Blkmax, and the erratic tq numbers are from auto downshifting

I have no codes, car feels strong as usual, no misfires dont know what it is other than exhausted motor.

like i told u in AIM, iv been told an auto downshifting in a dyno throws off the dyno results, them newb's should known how to hold it in 3rd without downshifting. dont know if that would explain ur low numbers. but possible since u said it downshifted in all of them

Is your VI opening? Why do your peak tq. numbers move so much between runs?

It’s not too erratic, but more so peak numbed are greatly affected by the AT DS’ing.

When I get back to base, I will repost your dyno results in a fashion that shows the graphs more bester, kthnxbie.

Also for everyones Info.... all these runs were done with about 2 mins in between. By the time the 4th pull was done, the motor was already heatsoaked. But I was suprised that on the 3rd run it was still making power.

But yea those #s are below what they should be. And I know the dyno is accurate because the runfiles matched pretty accurately the runfiles from my previous dyno at another location.

The operator didn't do a good job. You need to go back again. In the mean time do a compression test.

Thats rather high dude, have you by any chance checked if your TPS is calibrated properly that might affect the down shift rpm. On mine, you go to about 3500 or so and floor it, stays in 3rd, also you cant slam on the gas, you ease into it as RPM climb.

Also the change in torque peak might be due to the changes in a/f, every run had a complete different a/f.

Also, I really think the fact the car downshifted really affected the dyno result. because on one of them you get 19#tq yet the hp was in 16#'s. Dosnt make sense to me with your mods, yea tq is supposed to be higher in our engine with those mods but not that much higher. my dyno n/a with 00vi tuned was 193hp/197tq.

Spiking.

My car spiked @ 250.xxft'lbs when it DS'd one time, and at that time, it only had 210whp.

(Look at the peak tq #'s, i was no where near those peak numbers)

Conclusion, this was a waste of money due to a crappy dyno operator.
