Aackshun's I35 6MT Dyno Thread

257whp std in Houston's awesome summer.

I do not know if I'm going back anytime soon, but this is where she'll stand for quite some time.

I'm up for discussion on this odd top end (and low torque... Previous dynos puts this thing at 205 wtq, BUT! Peak tq happens around 5500rpm and it's pretty flat) that's unlike other VQ35's

Mod list as follows:
09 Altima V6 Motor
Ebay Parts 3" Intake
09 Maxima Intake Manifold + TB
2J Racing Underdrive Pulley
OBX Equal Length Headers
2.5" Test Pipe
"Godsnow" 2.5" Ebay Catback
UNTUNED

Old Y-pipe + Stock Catback dyno above. This dyno clearly fell short of the redline.

Most recent dyno above. Around 90mph is 5250rpm. Yellow line was pegging the redline.

No runfiles yet, thus the grimey cell phone pics.

Question: Where is VIAS activation on le stock ECU? Or is it purely vacuum based and NOT rpm based?

because stock ecu.

and idk what im even looking at with that graph.

go take a look at my stock ecu dyno, my graph was nuts.

If you want one of these as a decent DD car on stock ecu. that works, with a little power gain also. But if you want real power that means 4" intake and a tune. Simple as that

In this case. get a utec and it will suffice. Get a wideband. and bigger intake.

Nothing new there....

Ah There's something.

I don't have 4" intake piping waiting, just 3.5".

Depending on the track #'s will decide if I go forward with power or not and install the UTEC and 3.5" intake.

Not on the quest to make the most power possible, this is just a cheap, fun DD and that's all it'll ever be, thus the 2.5" exhaust and what not.

Note, all whp / $ gains are being noted, that's what this build was about since day 1. For some people getting the most power is the goal, this car? Most value.

Edit:

Uhm... I saw that UTEC dyno...

I may have a few more dynos ahead of me then

280hp / 253 tq (uncorrected was 283/255)

notes: changed rev limiter to 7200, didnt make utec correction after 6900 rpm, afr was 14's+ up around there. The run was with cutout taken off! LOUD!

Best thing from going back is seeing the 5k to 6k gains! was making 180hp at 5.2k now making 245 ish. car runs so much better then it did before.

This only on utec tune, timing not messed with much, mostly fuel. NO EVT hooked up still!

Comparing my best run on the first dyno trip to todays!

Yeah I get wanting the best value, in that case since you have a 3.5 intake use that. Then tune it, as you seen on that graph the gains are great. it was a totally different car. Just between those 3 things, large intake, afr, and ign timing it will totally change the car.

That would make for a amazing DD setup, with some go in it.
