well if you had really looked at it instead of doing that, you might have noticed that this car was actually worse than UNtuned. it is MIStuned to the degree that between 4400 and 6500 it gets 300% of the fuel a UNtuned car would get.

Unless you guys run on the same dyno, in similar conditions, you cannot really compare dyno numbers, some dynos read high some read low. You can compare curves, not numbers. Dunno how many times this has to be repeated until it sink in.

at a rated 222whp thats having less than 10% drivetrain loss which would be extremely impressive for any family economy sedan lol... but to answer your question, in stock form a 5MT DEK 00-01 should dyno 180's

Someone in the area is offering $50 for 3 dyno pulls, and so I immediately thought of this. Considering my mods and the fuel filter and knock sensor I just replaced I'm thinking I can get 170hp. That's being optimistic

I doubt I'll gain any peak power. Just more area under the curve, especially where I was straight up dumping fuel into the engine.

And shocknawe, Rod was asking about the dyno at Hills Garage, not mine.

Dynoed again today, here's the best run. I didn't care about fine tuning the hump over 6500, was too busy looking at the rest of the curve for the parts I was testing.

Nope same shop, same dyno. Last time was a dyno day in May, this time I rented 2 hours in December.

For drf 002 it was 10s for the dip and high 12s above 6500. Timing peaked at 30* at redline.
drf 015 averaged out at mid 13s all throughout and peaked at 39* at redline.

Here's the rest of the dynos from this session from my thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...-compared.html

Below is broken vias vs deleted power rod.

I'll put the intake dynos up relatively soon.

Alright guys here are the maf dynos and my notes. I don't feel like typing my notes out so here's a pic of them. The timing noted for each run was the peak value at fuel cut. (7200 in most cases). After I finished with the 3" maf I tossed the 3.5 back on just to see what it would do. Not a huge difference at all, not worth the money on a 3.0 IMO.

Here are the maf dynos, my 3.5" maf vs the stock maf. Both with legnth tuned 3.5" and 3" pipes respectively. The only thing that may affect the results is the front breather was connected to the 3.5" intake, the front breather vented to atmosphere on the 3"

Initial comparison there are some runs in between where I was messing with timing.

After that I immediately put the 3.5" back on and did 2 back to back runs and called it a day.

I also noticed one of my first few runs maxed out at 39* of timing, so with the stock maf I kicked the timing up from 32* peak to 39* because I thought most of the 3.5" dynos were at 39*. There was an avg peak difference of 5.87hp and 3.05 lb ft.

My highest dyno of the day. I forgot to type a "-" into my fuel map at 5.5k. I didn't spend any time fine tuning the hump over 6500.

That's WTF I'm talking about.

Now it seems right.

So in short, go with a 3" MAF, not the 3.5".

Add a grip of timing + bolt ons.
