Suggestion: Update to 3.8.6/7 and improve layout
 

vBulletin 3.8.7 is coming out soon. The maintenance fee is reasonable so why has maxima.org not updated yet?

I am strongly opposed to upgrading to vBulletin 4 because of the way IB does things, but there have been many updates since 3.7.x and it would be beneficial to the community overall if the board was updated. :)

Also, the current layout could use some improvement, or should, in my opinion, be replaced altogether. Great alternatives that leave plenty of advertising space are this and this.
