Unable to search for threads..

Trying to do some research and it looks like any threads before 2018 are not coming up in search..

What's going on here?

Same here Chris. My oldest post is in October 2018. I would sure be sad to see us lose our Knowledge Management base that we have worked so hard to build over these years.

I’m able to do some back door searching through Google using site:maxima.org “insert whatever I’m searching” but it’s still a pain since I can’t pinpoint specific subsections of the forums.

@DanNY help.

Yeah, search/history is currently very broken

Will it come back?

I'll notify IB and see if it can be fixed.

2k2albatross 03-04-2019 12:00 PM

I use the Google option as well.

IB Cheryl 03-04-2019 02:49 PM

Hi all,

Since I joined the IB team we have been told to use the Google option when searching, since it is undeniably more powerful. Apologies I can't be of more help with this situation! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Cheryl

ChrisMan287 03-04-2019 05:05 PM

I’m sorry but it’s not more powerful.. so many unrelated posts come up using the Google method. It makes finding what’s needed damn near impossible.

Please get in contact with someone from the team who can help and fix the search feature. The knowledge that this place holds is part of what makes it great and keeps it alive.

BenStoked 03-07-2019 07:24 PM

Evidently, I've never made a post or thread, before this one.

Fix your ****, IB.

Same I'd really like the search function to be fixed. Maxima.org is the "holy grail" of information on these cars. The result of this being broken could lead to having to recreate old posts for topics that have been covered and traditionally helpful!

ChrisMan287 03-10-2019 09:03 PM

Any luck @IB Cheryl ?

Prophecy99 03-12-2019 08:17 AM

yea this is horrible, thanks for the thread Chrisman, was just about to make this thread. this is crappy ! and hope its not a sign for anything to come.

Prophecy99 03-12-2019 08:19 AM

heres a good example, I searched the words bose and aux , and nothing came up. lol

ChrisMan287 03-15-2019 10:06 AM

Looks like it’s fixed!

Prophecy99 03-18-2019 08:42 AM

just confirmed this, it looks fixed as well !! thank you powers at be.

NYTooCooL 03-23-2019 08:37 AM
