Superchargers must be good for VQ30's

My latest oil report since I installed my supercharger has improved. How's that for counterintuitive. The only major difference was the pre-S/C test was done on oil used through the winter, so at worst case, the winter is harder on the car than the S/C is. :D

OK, it's a leap, but I found it humorous.

Were you using the same type of oil for both tests?

It will be interesting to see what the next report shows, after running the SC in the winter.

what weight oil are you running? I just droped down to 5-30 for the winter....is that too thin for the S/C? Any opinion?

I've been running the 5-30 Mobile one for quite some time, and always have used Nissan filters. I think 5-30 is fine year round, especially where I live where it rarely gets into the 90's.

Blues,
Yeah, that's what I'm interested in too. between the winter cold and intermittent use, I was concerned that was taking it's toll on the engine, and may just be better off storing it. I'll continue with similar usage this winter and see what I get. I was especially surprised by the 4.5 TBN with 5,000mi and lots of track use this summer.
