How much oil does your Max burn?

How much oil does your Maxima burn, and how many miles are on the engine?
And, do you use dino, or synthetic?

VW uses 5w-30 or 5w-40 depending on the car. I use the 5w-40 spec oil for the new TDI eng (cam driven fuel injectors running 1400bar) it's also used in the W12 and V8s (gas) for extended drain interval. Porsche and BMW use the 0-up weight oils (BMW uses 5w-30 in the normal models). I currently have 0-60 (BMW) racing oil in the Z spec for the E46 M3. I will more than likely change the Z over to the 5w-40 next service. One of the other techs gave me the BMW stuff when he was cleaning up his shelf (that stuffs $10+ a qt)

None. Just turned 63K, mostly highway miles. Recently completed AutoRX clean and rinse phases and have switched from dino oil (mostly Castrol GTX 5w30) to Esso XD3 Extra, 0w30, PAO, full synthetic. It seems that my fuel economy has improved modestly, but it is difficult to tell given that its still winter. However, the engine is so quiet that I literally can not hear it with the windows up and heater and stereo off.

I have always had an OCI of 3,750 miles or less, but plan on going to a 12-month 6,000 mile OCI, whichever comes first.

My Max's VQ has burned oil since I got her new with almost 1 K miles on the odometer. I switched to Mobil 1 at 7.5 K miles and with that change to synthetic, went to 7.5 K miles OCI. I have almost 44 K miles on her and she burns about a quart between oil changes (I put in replacement oil when it shows it is down about 1/2 Qt.)

I now run 10W30 in the summer and 5W30 in the winter, and don't see any noticable difference in the amount of oil she burns between these two grades of Mobil 1.
