auto tranny fluid specs
Hey guys. I getting ready to do a full blown tranny flush on my auto 01 AE w/ 54k miles. I'm gonna get some synthetic ATF and I need to know the right specs so I don't pick up the wrong stuff and trash my tranny. Can someone give me the exact fluid specs. I think I'm gonna go with Redline - I used to have a 91 300zx manual that the Redline did wonders for, but it seems Amsoil is more popular among maxima.orgers. Suggestions?

I have used AMSOIL ATF for years in a variety of vehicles and have had excellent results with it. My son has a '99 Chevy Cavalier which we bought 3-yrs ago with 30K on it. Right after we bought it, I serviced the transmission (dropped the pan and replaced the filter/fluid) with AMSOIL ATF. A month or so later, I used an oil extractor and removed/replaced 4 more quarts of fluid...I was trying to increase the concentration of AMSOIL in the system. I have not touched it since. The vehicle now has 90K on it, so the ATF has been in there for almost 60k in south-texas heat. This past Labor Day, I removed the pan and installed new fluid/filter and gasket. Notice cleanliness of pan, absence of wear visible wear metals, and minimal build-up on the magnet.
I have serviced the transmission on my max (simple drain and refill) with AMSOIL every 30 k since it was new. When the oil drains from the pan, you can actually see thru the stream of "dirty" oil...while I have not had it analyzed, the red color makes me feel good that it is not breaking down.
It's good stuff...
