4 speed auto's use dextron III Fluid, right?

Just curious, but the 4 speed autos in vq30dek 5th gens use Dextron III equivalent fluid, right? I am going to pour some Valvoline Dex III ATF in my tranny for a flush and then take it out later and replace it with Amsoil ATF.

Just did some searching and found out Matic D is the recommended fluid, however it is basically the same as Dex III except with additional friction "fighters". Amsoil Synth ATF seems the way to go, but Ill save that for a later time and date if I end up keeping this tranny.

Yep, amsoil or mobil synthetic is my reccomendation, i doubt you need matic d crap, and bet any old tranny fluid would work, but its a good excuse to use synth

The 4-speed autos use Matic-D (Dextron III) whereas the 5 speed autos require Matic-K.

AMSOIL Synthetic ATF is specifically recommended for Nissan Matic D/D-III applications. I am not aware of any aftermarket alternatives to Matic-K.
