2.25 inch drop with GC's. Can I get away with it without camber plates

Any insights. I know 2 inches is the limit, just wondering if another 1/4 of an inch will matter?

the maxima is not a honduh.. camber is not our biggest issue and every car is different.. i dont know why but for some reason, i am slammed 4inches all the way around my camber was only slightly off in the front. i never said i didnt have tread wear, my camber is just not off.. there is some toe, but nothing too major.

find the right wheel shop with the right people and you will be fine.

I'm down about 2" and the camber isn't bad at all. I think its better than it was with the sprints...but I don't know if that's all my imagination.

You should be okay.

I am down 2.25 with mine and I have barely noticeable camber wear. It really isn't a problem, just get your car aligned.

MaxedOut Jul 16, 2002 02:10 PM

ahaha when i dropped my car with eibachs i had a camber of -2/4 and -1.8

my camber was WAY off

vinny1978 Jul 16, 2002 07:08 PM

well, got the car dropped 2.25 and it looks amazing. very happy with it. i have 18's on it and have had them for a while at stock height. what a difference. at least in my eyes. most people would not even notice.

If your not dropped below 1.8-2.0 your camber shold be good. If you installed camber bolts could have been corrected by pulling or pushing of the front shocks with the stock bolts.

i'm lowered a little over 2.5 inches and i've been inspecting my tires. i guess the tire wear is really slow or something. oh, i don't have any camber correction kits on my car.

Question about lowering

can anyone tell me about how much it cost to lower your car 2 inches? Also what parts do you have to replace? I know you need ebuach springs or something similar but thats about all I know.

Sprint springs will drop you 2 inches go to the groupbuy section and contact max8mycash he has the cheapest price on sprints. I think $152 plus shipping

one more thing

What about installing these though. Is it a big deal. About how much does it cost? Do I also need new shocks?
