The weather in Kansas City was been absolute crap this week. Monday night we got 1/4"-1/2" of ice then 1 1/2" of snow on top. Talk about dangerous conditions. Temps have been in the -5 to 15 degree range. Last night it started snowing again and we're at 8" and it's still coming down. I think the snow crews have given up until it stops tonight. Then on Friday, it looks like more snow and sleet. I am so glad I bought a set of Yokohama Avid V4s instead of Kumho Supras for my 16" Kosei K1s. I can actually get around just fine and stop safety....on snow that is. I doubt this stuff is gonna melt until next week. My black car is now a flat gray and salted quite nicely.

What really kills me about the weather in Kansas City is that it was 65 degrees at this time last week and they are forecasting it to be 55 on Monday. I've got to get out of this place. It really sucks being in a city where fronts converge right on top of you and can change the temp by 50 degrees in a 8 hour period, dump 6" of rain in 6 hours, bring winds up to 75-80mph, drop 3 tornados in 5 minutes, or dump snow for over 24 hours. To hell with the jet stream, the hell with the moist Gulf air, the hell with air rushing down the Rocky's, and the hell with artic Canadian air. All of these things convering over MY HOUSE really ticks me off.

I'm done, I feel better.

I'm never buying a black car again! one is enough. I have been skiing a lot already this season and everytime I get back to my car its covered in salt/slush/snow/dirt I could wash my car every day and it would not matter... All of us with super black maximas should list color changing paint as a mod since its grey all winter long....

yoweeeeeeeeeeee

each of the last two snow storms prompted me to jump in my Max and tool around. I'm having more fun in this car, playing in the snow than in my Outback. there aint nothing quite like a set of Nokian Hakkepelitta's with studs. Bring on the blizzards!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only drawback to looking for the deep stuff is that the snow gets stuck in the rims, and sets the wheels off balance..nothing that a quick trip to the car wash cant cure though

You think Kansas City is wacked. I live in West Texas. We see this crap all winter long. Same thing happened here (almost). It was a beautiful weekend 65-70 degrees and all of the sudden on Tuesday it's the same 60 degrees and then at 12:20 the wind starts blowing and all of the sudden it starts sleeting. I wake up Wed. morning and there's a 1/4" of ice on the roads. Cars slammed into guard rails, 3-8 car wrecks, and cops everywhere.

Try Iowa. I had nearly a 3 foot tall drift in my driveway when I got home on Monday. My nanny got stuck and blocked not just my driveway but the whole damned road!
