I was contacted by Under Pressure Racing Development here in So Cal.

They need to move 40+ Maxima Rom boards and are willing to do a group buy.

Currently, these rom boards are made for 95/96 Maximas, (their first beta bester got 13 HP on the Dyno Rum), but they'll need to retune it before they sell them.

They say that it COULD be modded to go into 97+ Maximas,

so, in order for them to FURTHER invest their time to developing an ECU for the Maxima, they want to know, who would be interested in purchasing.

Estimated pricing is set around $400-500.

PLEASE reply to this post if you are SERIOUSLY interested.

Two So Cal Maximas will be used at Beta Testers for the ECU (SoCal Nabil and Me) to see how much the gains are.

But does it remove the speed limiter on GXE's? That is very importatn, and will they re-tune once I get my SC?

400-500 is high, but if the HP gains are backed up by DYNO info on yalls Maximas in in like Flyn!

Cool. thanks for your replies.. remember, the more interest we have in a customly made ECU from UPRD, the better...

they already know the Maxima is a good car, and also realize that the aftermarket support is small, that's why they're trying, and the more support we give them, might relate to a larger band of companies approaching us in the future.

UPRD is a big tuner, so u know..

$400 will be a good price. If they can tune it more, they should get aleast around 15hp. I would like them to remove the speed limiter and make the timing/fuel as aggrassive as possible.

I sent an E-mail to UPRD after seing the posts from Chebosto. This is the reply I got... If we show demand they will build it!

"The technology is there, and the ECU can be reworked. However, the demand
for the product must be enough to warrant the development process. I am
interested in modifying any ECU's that will sell, but have had but one or
two inquiries for that vehicle. If you could get a list of people from your
organization who would be interested, and the number was enough to defray
the development costs (30+), I can do that. The inidividual retardation
programming for nitrous I would have to do a custom program on the vehicle
itself on my dyno. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance
to you on this matter.
