Maybe it's just ice... It rained all day yesterday and was 45, got down to 18 last night and started snowing and it's only up to 25 today. So the roads are coated with ice and about 1" of snow on top of it. The SP5000's were plowing worse than the stock tires... But maybe it's just ice, they may do ok on snow. |
dunlops
there are two styles of tread for the sp sport 5000, they are allseason tires, duh. i would expect at least to make it with little trouble to the grocery store with plowed streets. how much snow are you talking about? when your car has a lot of power you might as well get snow tires for the winter. 4 of them$$. life is great.enjoy the ride. michelins.$$

Anyway, so far I'm satisfied with dunlop performance, I'll see what happens when I go to VT for New Years. Andy |
Don't expect miracles...
I have new SP5000's V-rated on the front (stock 205/65VR15 size) and Firestone Firehawk SH30's in the back (came with car). My car is very good in the snow. Ice is ice!!! It's slippery! Nothing's gonna stick to it except maybe studded tires. :)
