On the eve of a tragedy here's another
I just got word that one of my friends is brain dead and on life support at shock trauma. He is not legally dead but pretty darn close. Expected chance of surviving is slim to none. If his condition does not improve within the next day or so he is coming off of life support. The result of this was from racing at an industrial air park on the runways last night at 2:30 AM. Apparently loosing control and hitting a building at a high speed. Alcohol I'm not sure, but it is a strong possiblity.
How is this maxima related? It is racing related and so it is maxima related cause we all have done stunts and have raced people. So after hearing all this puts my tranny troubles and bad luck far far away. Couldnt have been at a worse time too, especially if he dies tomorow (Sept 11, 2002). I'm sure everybody has heard their share of internet crashes, but please everybody be careful, use your head and enjoy everything you have in life. |
i'm horrified to hear of something like that happening to your friend Eric. I know the outlook is brief, but please have hope as it seriously can make a difference. I don't know you or him, but i give my heartfelt condolences to all caught up in such a tradgedy.
You never really think about something until it strikes close to home. "O nobly born The time may soon come for you to seek new levels of reality. You may soon be set face to face with the Clear Light. You may soon experience it in its reality. The state in which all things are like the void and the cloudless sky, And the naked spotless intellect is like a transparent vacuum; At this moment, know yourself and abide in that state." -unknown Tibetan source Please be careful out there. |
Take care Eric. Support the guy's family if you can. :(

I'm so sorry to hear about that Eric. I hope it turns out for the best.

:( Sorry to hear about your friend. Sadly I see this happen quite a lot being a funeral director. It so easy to take life for granted, but no one is immune to death. I know that his family is going thru alot now as are you. God be with them and you in this time.
