Nice video dude! Those air rides are sick! :D I plan on getting some for my '96 I30 soon... hehe

Just a couple of questions bigsadler, do your air rides go slow or fast? Like those fastbag kits, they go up and down pretty fast... Are you making any more videos of some serious air ride action?

shh.. some random kid got in my car and started playing with the bags so i filmed it, i swear :wall:

infinitistyle - the bags in front are as fast as you saw them in the vid, i'll make a better vid sometime soon, the cylinders in the rear are real quick. The kit i have from Southwestautoworks.com uses naplex valves which aren't as loud or as fast as say a parker valve, but they also don't give any problems, so i'll take it a bit slower.. i am actually trying to get bags in the rear too because i'd rather have it slower because i have to endure driving the car everyday, but for now its damn fast in the back and does the trick.

Thannks for the info sadler :) I plan on getting a kit soon, most likely from Alex...

So by my understanding, you have bags in the front, but air-struts or air cylinders in the rear? Some of my friends have full air cylinders on all 4 corners (illegal here in Canada, only bags in the rear only are legal), and they are really fast and loud...

But it all depends on what kind of valves you get to get the sound of PSSSSST and the quickness... What i also wanted to ask, is there a set of valves that are LOUD, but arent that fast? I like the PSSST sound, but i dont want to be bouncing up and down on the road trying to raise/lower it...

I originally wanted to search for a 4 cylinder kit, but i need the lowdown on the pros/cons of bags, as opposed to cylinders...

Any help would be great :)

Max8MyCash Sep 28, 2002 11:33 AM

All four corner cylinder kits are unsafe (trust me, a year and a half of R&D have been put into this). Valves we sell are valves I have on my own car, and believe me, we have tested numerous valves, and numerous compressor, tank, and air line size/length configurations...
The stuff we sell is what we've found to work the best. Other places can tell you whatever, but then again, they don't own Maximas ;)

MaximaRider Sep 28, 2002 11:53 AM

its nice to see the air is working cause it definitley didn't this summer:bawling: Dye your hair again DA ROOTS are visible.;)

mount your valves behind your wheel wells or outside the car and you'll hear the "psst" sound, you don't hear it on mine because mine are behind my leather seats...

you don't want cylinders all around, especially not on a maxima!!

I have only owned alex's kit, but i have had experience with other cars and other kits, and alex's seems to hold up the best to everyday driving and whatnot.

You get what you pay for, and i'd never buy outside of alex for anything air ride, or anything maxima for that matter
