AGX's and hydroplaneing

The wet season has started here in Louisiana. I installed my AGX's back in May and this is the first time since then that we have had rain heavy enough to stand on the roads.

Last night I thought I was going to loose the front end when I hit about a 1/2 inch of water on the interstate at about 50mph.

I don't recall this being a problem with my old oem struts/shocks with the same tires that I have now.

Has anyone experienced this with the AGX's? I'm set at 2/4 right now.

Would a harder or softer setting help with this problem?

Vitals: '95 SE Autotragic, AGX & OEM Springs, 16x6.5 Moda R2's, Michelin Pilot XGT H4's (about 15k miles/tread is good) 225/55 R16.

Your tires are to blame, not your struts. Harder or softer strut settings wount help channel water out from under your tires. How many miles are on your rubber, and what brand/size are they?

Buy tires with better grip and wider channels to prevent hydroplaning.

stiffer the suspension= the more even the distribution of weight on TIRES

i dont think this would matter if he was just driving in a straight line. Most likely ur tires, when u get a wider profile your more prone to hydroplane. and some tires just arent made for the rain, mostly the mi performance ones

hey phatbastard, you live in Baton Rouge?

stiffer suspension should actually help keep the car on the road. Sounds like tires are to blame.
