I'm one happy man right now...........:)

I just recieved my VI from Japan. Just got back here at my desk and saw a big box chillin on the floor. Much lighter than I thought it would be and Cranman just gave me the tracking number today.

Well, in she goes next Spring.

That's what DMB said when I told him I have AGX's and H&R's in my closet. I can hold out though.

Yeah I think, look in the GD forum. For IanS or Mr. Cranman , they both seem very honest. Mine came from Ian.. great guy

If I were to get the VI, whom would I take it to in order to get it installed. Is it something a motorsports shop would do, a mechanic, or even me (not too mechanically inclined). I installed my Frankencar intake, cleaned my IACV, replaced my starter, and cleaned throttle body. Does this qualify as enough experience to install a VI?

Absolutely, undoubtedly yes.....

It looks much harder than it is...at least from my perspective but I also was handicapped, Redmaxpa007 was breaking a bunch of $hit when we installed it...:smash:

Well I am hoping to do mine in the next week or so... If you want to do it sometime let me know, I will have some experience after mine and we can use one of the bays in my garage. Just figured I would offer if you wanted.

Dave B Nov 19, 2002 03:39 PM

If you take your sweet time, torque everything to spec, use all new gaskets, etc, install is pretty easy. It took me about 6 hours to do the install which included soldering, hiding wires, and putting all the parts into labeled bags as I removed them.

Deezo-

Surely you have friend that can loan you a garage for a weekend afternoon? Believe me, adding the VIM is not like adding a SC or turbo, you won't have trouble in bad weather with all the "extra" power.

I will definitely leech from you guys especially Brett.:)

DaveB: I want to wait because I'm so busy at work and with the family. It's really hectic, so when I get home I just want to relax. Spring will be here in no time.

Nismo2020: I gotta keep saving for those but I'm keeping my eyes open for the opportunity.;)

Sudz: I still need a few more parts but if I decide I can't wait anymore I'll send you a PM.

Jason R Nov 19, 2002 06:46 PM

Congrates Deezo, I'm glad you were able to get your VI even after all the long list of problems you had. I hope you enjoy it.
