Rob's maxima is the first Maxima that we know of with the VQ30DET engine, the VQ30DET engine is a Japanese version of our VQ engine and produces 280 hp and 285 tq stock with a compression of 9:1. Rob obtained this engine from an org member and set out to do the "impossible" task. All the work was done by Rob himself, with the help of other members.. All this info i am taking from memmory so i am sure Rob can clear some up for you

The funny thing is that stupid "gentlemen's agreement" in Japan. The VQ25DET is already making the limit of 276hp(280ps) in the Stagea wagon. I wonder how much power the 3L is really making. It could be close to the RB(R34 really made around 320hp).

AWE coool...i saw a vq30det was on eb@y. i was gonna place a bid on a cheap vq30 wanting to mod the heck out of it, but i got a vq35 motor w/ 50 mi on it instead. it came w/wiring harness + ecu :laugh: crap...is there anyone doing this swap on their '01 yet? :nervous:
