Anyone With a Max Tuning Vb, I have a ?

Alright i just installed the new Vb with the help of madmax95 and I took the car out and the 1-2 shift is nice and crisp but the 2-3 is the same as it was before. Is the 2-3 shift supposed to be normal or quicker as well. Just wondering if i have to send the Vb Back or not.

i have the max tuning VB. first ? to you is did you send in your VB or did you get a core??? My 1st to 2nd is great but my 2nd to 3rd is not that great unless i am at wot and when i am spraying. I love the mod. Dont know if it was worth the money yet but i will know next time to the track. I will wait for your reply to give you some help.

I dont have the VB but I talk to seximagtr who has the VB mod. He was having the same "problem" but he was told that they can only modify the 1-2 shift for some reason. His is stage 2 I believe.

I received a core from max tuning. hmm maybe the 2-3 shift is supposed to be the same, for some reason i thought the only shift that stayed the same was the 3-4.

That is wrong. Their VB increases the fluid pressure for all the shifts. The 3-4 shift stays the same b/c it's not the same as the other shifts.. it's electronic.

The only way to determine if the shift is firmer is to go WOT. My 2-3 shift is softer than the 1-2 at partial throttle b/c the 1-2 shift takes BY FAR the most power. My 2-3 shift is sort of normal until I got WOT.... then it snaps instantly into place.

So, if you call Maximum Tuning, he will ask you if the shift is normal at WOT. That is where it matters. If it's 'absolutely' normal at WOT, then there MIGHT be a problem. Try that after your motor has warmed up. If it's still the same at WOT, then give Jeff a call at the shop and see what he says.

Back when I used to have the Max Tuning VB mod with is the stage 2.:) 1-2 is crisp, 2-3 is normal (but snaps at wot), 3-4 is normal... His VB is harder then Don's vb mod so your setup is normal..

Cool I hope i don't have to drop it again. I'll try it again at WOT once the turbo is complete (hopefully Wed.) Thanx for the info
