Pinging Gen 1 Cattman's

I know that it is normal... but it's so f'in annoying.. sounds like the wheels gonna fall apart.. I searched and found a post about putting a donut shaped bushing on the lower spring perch?... Can someone elaborate?.. I don't quit understand why they're pinging, I just assumed the spring is winding up and builds tension, then releases it, causing the ping.. Anyhoo, help me out guys.:)
