For those with CAI's
 

I got my CAI yesterday and I plan on installing it in March or April. Has anybody ever thought about wrapping the intake pipe with heat reflecting tape. Here's link to the site I was looking at: http://www.designengineering.com/cool_tape.html


Is it a stupid idea or should I go and try it out?

Its not a stupid idea, but a waste of money. You have to think of it this way. Do you really think that the air thats rushing in the intake so fast will have time to cool down by using that tape?

The only real gain would be smoothing out the intake or using a true CAI, the rap or any other idea wont work.
