I'm getting a set soon, before show season starts anyways and I need to know if this is a good price. ~$1900 for the rims in 18x7.5". This is the price on http://www.groupbuycenter.com . It turns out that the vendor selling them is a customer of mine, I make his company decals so I can get that price without the group deal. But before I commit, I want to make sure that it's a good price first. BTW, anyone know how much these weigh?

I think with 18's they should weigh about 20lbs or maybe less

I was at stillen in Costa Mesa during the Open house, they had a set of 17" Volks that were light enough to toss around. They had to be less than 20 lbs.

Sweet ride.. let me know when you install those metal floor mats. Gotta update me with some pictures. Also, are you into the importshowoff seen???? If so, where are you from?

I'm from Georgia so unfortunately no import showoff for me. I do all the local shows though, and the NOPI nationals. I tried to go to Hot Import Nights in Florida, but it was finals week so that was a no go. Oh well, I graduate soon and as soon as I get a real job, then my car gets really crazy. Mats should be going in soon, just haven't had the time to drop by their shop and get everything finalized. I'll have pics up as soon as everything is in.

Wheels weights

or

the 17x7.5 weight 15lbs so I'd guess the 18's weight about 17lbs....very light!

Don't get the 18X7.5. Get the 18X8.5, this way you can mount 235/40/zr18 or even 245/40zr18. About the price, $1900 is the best price you will find anywhere.

Jeff...another thing->

With 18X8.5, there will be more room for the 300ZX brakes.

Well even the 15s had enough room for the Z calipers. SCC put a set on their project 200SX with no probs. You should have all the room you need with a 17, let alone an 18.

Re: Re: Jeff...another thing->

He wanted 18X7.5 and I told him to get 18X8.5. What's the difference?? The width....It's the width thats important when it comes to the 300ZX brake upgrade. The rotor dia. is the same as stock maxima, so yes it will fit under 15" wheel. But you will need 15X8 or 15X8.5 wheels, the width of the Z calipers are much larger. The reason it doesn't clear many wheels is because of the width. I haven't seen many rims come into 15X8 size not to mention tires.

I got to get 1 of these in white to match my blue...:)

Good choice..man

Nabil Jan 9, 2001 02:44 PM

Yeah, they're nice and light, but as my sig picture shows, you won't be able to cover the center hubs with them... At least I haven't found anything that would do it.

I think they were 15" TE-37's.

Chebosto Feb 6, 2001 07:53 PM

18s with tire will be close to 36 pounds.

1900 is a good price.. i think nabil paid close to $5xx a rim plus tire..
